Formed

Bracken Breathes Easy Coalition was formed in 2017. The smoke-free coalition has been working in some capacity, under different names, since 2012.

Purpose

The purpose of our coalition is to establish a smoke-free ordinance to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke in indoor workplaces and public places in Bracken County.

As a coalition, our goal is to educate the public and policymakers that a smoke-free policy is an effective strategy for reducing exposure to secondhand smoke.

Join Us

We currently have several members representing organizations in the community.

We have members from the Bracken County Health Department, Bracken County Extension, Primary Plus, KY Center for Smoke-Free Policy, KY Cancer Program, Bracken County PVA, Bracken County Family Resource Directors/Schools, Augusta Family Resource Director/School, Buffalo Trace District Health Department, Regional Prevention Center, and the Bracken County Tourism Director.
